Ivy Green Jones currently serves as the Senior Director of Academic Programs at Christina Seix Academy (CSA) in Trenton, New Jersey. Ivy started her career in Education as a 2nd grade teacher over 20 years ago. A proud graduate of Morgan State University, a Historically Black University in Baltimore, she received her formal training in the School of Education and Urban Studies. Ivy holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, & Supervision. In addition, Ivy completed, with distinction, the Educational Leadership & Administrator's program at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. After several years teaching, Ivy completed her graduate studies and transitioned into a role traveling the country as a Literacy curriculum Implementation Specialist, providing leadership, training, and program development in school districts. Following this experience, Ivy worked as a school leader in a preschool through 8th grade elementary school, managing the intricate details of the school’s instructional, professional development, and Literacy programs. In Ivy’s current role at Christina Seix Academy, she has oversight of the Academic Programs in the Primary and Middle School. A founding team member of the Academy, Ivy serves on the Senior Leadership Team and has led at CSA for 10 years in support of the Academy’s laser focused Mission. A native of Trenton, New Jersey and graduate of the Hun School of Princeton, Ivy is honored to have the privilege to serve as part of the Forge team. In her spare time, Ivy enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, extended family, and friends; whether while reading, traveling, dining, or attending sports events.
