Purpose

the 2024-2025 Annual Report

We're delighted to share with you Purpose: the 2024-2025 Annual Report

Within these pages, you’ll meet members of our community whose leadership and vision reflect what becomes possible when educators learn, lead, and grow together. Within these pages, you’ll meet members of our community whose leadership and vision reflect what becomes possible when educators learn, lead, and grow together. You’ll read about:

  • Kevin Mattingly, whose four decades of research-informed teaching and mentorship have shaped generations of educators.
  • Ilyana Contreras, our 2025–2026 Kane Scholar, whose leadership is guided by Pearl’s example and grounded in courage, integrity, and imagination.
  • Nishant Mehta, whose desire to give back led to the creation of the MehtaCognition Impact Fund and a scholarship that helps to open the door for emerging leaders. The inaugural scholars, Erica Washburn, Filipe Camarotti, and Topher Nichols, embody Nishant’s goal of “lengthening the table,” as they each lean in to the public purpose of private education, promote belonging, widen access, and create opportunity in their schools and beyond.
  • Carolyn Chandler, whose decade of service on the Klingenstein Advisory Board models steadfast leadership with grace, generosity, and care.

As always, the Annual Report also includes recognition of the donors and volunteers whose partnership strengthens our work. Many in our community choose to make year-end gifts, and we are deeply grateful for every way you support the Center—through your leadership, your mentorship, and your generosity of spirit.

These stories, along with many others, reflect the purpose that guides our work and the community that sustains it. Thank you for your leadership, your partnership, and the purpose you bring to our Educational Commonwealth.
