We’re excited to welcome you to Instructional Rounds, a dynamic professional-learning experience that connects teachers across schools and strengthens practice through observation, inquiry, and collaboration.
Grounded in the Instructional Rounds model from Harvard Graduate School of Education—and infused with research-based practices that strengthen listening and belonging—this weeklong online experience invites educators to step into classrooms, hone their observational senses, and build shared visions of high-quality teaching and learning within a supportive, teacher-led inquiry network.
PreK–12 teachers, academic leaders, administrators, district teams, and learning support educators across independent, public, charter, and international schools.
Led by Sarah Odell, Ph.D. and Byron Philhour, Ph.D., in collaboration with Nicole Brittingham Furlonge, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Klingenstein Center.
Participants should plan to attend synchronous Zoom sessions at the following times:
Participants will also spend approximately 6 hours on asynchronous reading, video observations, and other work in addition to the synchronous sessions. Participants will also be asked to obtain a copy of Instructional Rounds in Education: A Network Approach to Improving Teaching and Learning by Elizabeth A. City, Richard F. Elmore, Sarah E. Flarman, and Lee Teitel prior to the first Zoom.
