Jason Park is the upper school academic dean of Montclair Kimberley Academy (MKA) and formerly the science department chair at Princeton Day School (PDS). He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Duke University and then completed his masters program at the Klingenstein Center in Private School Leadership in 2015. In his current role at MKA, Jason’s spends much of his time furthering the alignment of curriculum across disciplines and grades, as well as co-chairing a group that is building an academic program surrounding MKA’s STEM+ initiative that is being launched in conjunction with the school’s new Inquiry and Innovation (I&I) building annex. Jason spent his years at PDS developing the curriculum and facilities for the PDS STEAM program. He also enjoyed participating in several other academic initiatives there, including work around DEIB, competency-based education, and the AP curriculum question. Jason is excited to collaborate with others to help young educators practice reflective teaching, which will help schools achieve genuine progress in supporting all learners.
